How to Play Pac-In-Time
Quick start
Choose NEW GAME, then hold A for a higher jump and steer in the air. Use SELECT to inspect the available power and B to use it. Check again after passing a magic ring. For a rope, hold B to attach overhead, swing with Left/Right and release B at the right moment to launch towards the next ledge.
Controls
D-pad moves; hold A for a higher jump. SELECT cycles powers, B uses the current one: hold/release for charged fire, strike weak walls sideways or floors below with the hammer, hold a rope and use Up/Down for length or Left/Right for swing. Swimming uses D-pad and B bubbles; change power only after surfacing. START shows status and a RETIRE option that costs a life.

A spell sends Pac-Man into an unfamiliar past, and finding the EXIT sign becomes a puzzle of movement and changing powers. Use fire to attack, a hammer to break weak surfaces, a rope to swing over gaps and swimming power to explore underwater. Magic rings switch abilities on or off, so the route depends on what you currently possess. Reach the exit before time runs out and use passwords to continue the journey. Choose NEW GAME, then hold A for a higher jump and steer in the air. Use SELECT to inspect the available power and B to use it. Check again after passing a magic ring. For a rope, hold B to attach overhead, swing with Left/Right and release B at the right moment to launch towards the next ledge.
