How to Play Pagemaster, The
Quick start
Choose Start Game and enter the first raised book location with START. Practise a short jump, collect the first useful item and test B before approaching an enemy; look for the exit and any library card. Left/Right: walk; Up/Down: climb, Down crouches/slides on slopes. A: jump, height depends on hold. B: pick up/use the current weapon or item. SELECT: use a help-book smart bomb. START: select, enter a pop-up level or pause.

Pagemaster, The — About this game
Explore a magical library through the pop-up locations of an open book, guiding Richard across horror, adventure and fantasy worlds. Pickups grant attacks or movement tricks and also protect him from a hit, so losing an item can change the route you can reach. Magic shoes improve jumps and allow wall rebounds, while sticky hands help with ceiling travel. Find each exit while keeping an eye out for library cards; collecting all eight opens a special ending beyond simply escaping the library.
