Quick start
Start the first route and practise short and held jumps. Defeat one enemy with the sword before experimenting with special weapons; inspect the first shop when you have money. Left/Right move; Up enters a store. B jumps, hold for height. A sword/weapon, Down+A special weapon. SELECT opens weapon choices; directions then A confirm. In shops SELECT browses, A buys. START pauses.

Guide Brian through a side-view quest to recover his captured friends and family, crossing villages, forests and hostile terrain with a sword and acquired special weapons. Jump height depends on how long you hold the jump button, so a narrow ledge calls for a different touch from a broad gap. Shops offer useful purchases when you have enough money, while the status display tracks energy as well as earnings. Keep a safe striking distance and check your selected special weapon before spending it on a difficult encounter.
