How to Play Puyo Puyo
Quick start
Press START, choose ひとりでぷよぷよ and the easy lesson. Practise rotating a pair with A/B and making a group of four before pressing Down to hurry it. Leave room above the entry column. Next build two connected clears: remove one group so another colour falls together, creating a chain.
Controls
Left/Right moves the falling pair; Down makes it fall faster. A and B rotate in opposite directions; KEY CONFIG can swap those assignments. D-pad selects modes and START starts, pauses or skips the demo. SELECT is unused. In linked play, choose the level handicap before beginning.

Rotate falling pairs of Puyo and connect at least four of the same kind vertically or horizontally. Cleared groups drop the pieces above them, making chains that send nuisance Puyo into a rival’s field. Keep the third column from the left open so the next pair can enter. Solo opponents, linked duels and a continuous score mode reward different kinds of planning, with adjustable rotation buttons to suit your hands. Press START, choose ひとりでぷよぷよ and the easy lesson.
