How to Play Rampart
Quick start
Choose a stronghold with room around it. Move the cursor with the pad, use A to place a wall piece or fire during battle, and B to rotate a repair piece. Finish a closed wall before attempting a larger expansion, then put the next weapons inside it.

Rampart — About this game
Rampart divides a defense into short bursts of building, aiming and urgent repair. Enclose a stronghold with walls, put weapons inside the protected space and use the battle phase to break the approaching enemy. The next repair phase hands you awkwardly shaped pieces and a time limit: fill a gap without closing off the room needed for later defenses. A modest complete enclosure is worth more than an ambitious broken one, because a castle left open cannot support the next round of fighting. The Japanese version uses a Japanese fantasy setting for this defensive contest.
