How to Play Scotland Yard
Quick start
Choose a level and the unit that will carry the police dog. Use directions and A to choose movement. SELECT shows the whole map; START uses the dog to search eight neighboring squares. Keep an eye on the hideout and save a close search for a useful location.

Scotland Yard — About this game
Move a team of pursuers across a map to catch the elusive thief before the available turns and movement run out. The thief appears only from time to time, so one sighting is a clue to the next route rather than a permanent target. Train tickets offer another way across the board, arrow squares constrain movement and question marks bring events. Give a police dog to a chosen unit, then search its eight surrounding squares when a close check matters. Keep a pursuer near the hideout while the others narrow the escape routes.
