How to Play Shanghai Pocket
Quick start
Press START, choose Shanghai and select a layout. Use A on two matching selectable tiles. If blocked, open SELECT’s menu for a hint, undo or restart of the same layout.
Controls
D-pad moves the cursor; A selects a tile or confirms; B cancels. START confirms title/menu choices. SELECT opens the in-game menu only in Shanghai mode, or configuration from stage/opponent selection. Competitive modes offer computer or linked opponents.

Shanghai Pocket combines tile-pair solitaire with two competitive variations. In Shanghai mode, remove matching available tiles to clear layouts connected with the twelve sacred animals. Kong Kong adds attack and defense tiles, while Gold Rush races toward a hidden gold tile. Each mode turns the order of pair removal into a different kind of puzzle. Press START, choose Shanghai and select a layout. Use A on two matching selectable tiles. If blocked, open SELECT’s menu for a hint, undo or restart of the same layout.
