Quick start
The title begins on Retro Rocket Ramp. Press START, choose a lip position with ↑/↓ and press A or B to drop in. Learn the ramp’s trick zones before switching to the timed tour, where A jumps walls and B crouches.
Controls
↑/↓: speed up/slow down; A: tour: jump wall from pipe bottom; B: tour: crouch, bump opponent and gain speed; A/B+D-pad: ramp: drop in; hold with direction in trick zone for moves; START: pause.

Skate or Die: Tour de Thrash splits skating between a timed trip through huge pipes and a ramp built for tricks. In the tour, keep speed while jumping walls, ducking through trouble and grabbing stars for more time. On the ramp, pumping and choosing moves in the trick zone replace the race to an exit, so the same board asks for two different kinds of rhythm.
