Begin a match, practise a short pass and recover the loose ball before attempting a long run toward the opposing goal. D-Pad: move the selected player/aim the ball. A: ball action when in possession, tackle when defending. B: change the active player where available. START: begin/pause. Check who holds the ball before pressing the action button.

Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe plays like a violent future team sport, with possession changing through passes, tackles and sudden breaks toward goal. Move the steel ball up the arena, find a clear throwing lane and stop the opposing carrier before they can line up a shot. Winning individual clashes is useful only if the team keeps its shape afterward. The mixture of sport and physical contact makes a loose ball a chance to turn defence into attack. Look for a teammate or an open route instead of throwing directly into a defender.
