Clear Spider-Man's opening by finding the flashing icons, then select a hero stage and learn its movement before risking the limited lives. D-Pad: move, climb or steer the current hero. A: jump. B: attack/use the hero's power. Spider-Man uses Up+B to swing on a web. START: pause. Line up the swing carefully before attempting a wide gap.

Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge begins with Spider-Man navigating a trap-filled opening before the captive heroes' stages become available. The Game Boy version gives each character one main stage, bringing different attacks and movement demands into the rescue. Pick a route, manage the few lives and learn Spider-Man's web swing before crossing a difficult gap. Gambit's course is not chased by the console version's giant spiked ball, and Wolverine cannot recover health by retracting his claws. Knowing the handheld's changes helps preserve a run toward Arcade.
