How to Play Taikyoku Renju
Quick start
Choose Japanese or English at the title, press START and select a computer match or problem mode. Move the cursor to an intersection and confirm with A; inspect the opponent’s reply before your next placement.
Controls
D-pad: cursor/menu selection. A: place a stone or confirm. B: resign; in problem mode, B again shows the answer. SELECT: title/mode choice or up to three hints in supported B matches. START: begin/next game.

Taikyoku Renju offers computer play at several strengths, human matches and set-position problems, letting you move between full games and focused tactical practice. Study open ends and intersecting lines before committing a stone. Japanese and English modes make the menus accessible in either language. Choose Japanese or English at the title, press START and select a computer match or problem mode. Move the cursor to an intersection and confirm with A; inspect the opponent’s reply before your next placement.
