How to Play Tobu Tobu Girl
Quick start
Press START at the title, choose a stage and confirm with START or A. Steer left and right, hold B briefly for lift and press a direction with A to dash. Try bouncing on a suitable enemy to restore dashes, then practise a downward dash to recover boost energy.
Controls
Left/right: steer. Direction + A: dash in that direction, using one of three dashes. Hold B: upward boost while energy remains. START: pause/resume; START or A confirms the stage selection. B backs out of stage selection.
Tobu Tobu Girl — About this game
This original Game Boy arcade platformer is about keeping a climb alive while reaching your runaway cat. Landing on an enemy restores dashes, but not every creature is equally safe to bounce on. You have three dashes before needing a refill; holding B provides upward boost at the cost of energy. Aim down and dash into an enemy to spring upwards and recover some boost energy. A controls the dash, rather than an ordinary jump. Read the space above you, save a dash for a useful correction and look for a safe bounce before your resources run low. The later Deluxe edition is a separate release.
