How to Play Ultima: Runes of Virtue
Quick start
Choose Begin a New Game, a champion and difficulty. Speak to people by walking into them. Open inventory, assign a weapon to A or B and inspect switches before fighting through the first cavern. Journey Onward resumes the saved solo adventure.
Controls
D-pad moves; bump people, chests or levers to interact. A/B use the items assigned to those hands. START opens inventory and pauses. In inventory, D-pad selects and A/B equips or uses an item; SELECT drops it. Solo progress saves automatically; linked two-player progress does not.

Four champions enter Britannia’s caverns to recover the eight virtue runes stolen by the Black Knight. This action adventure fills rooms with switches, hidden doors, traps and monsters, so equipment choices solve puzzles as well as battles. Assign an item to each hand and use recovered runes to improve your hero. Choose Begin a New Game, a champion and difficulty. Speak to people by walking into them. Open inventory, assign a weapon to A or B and inspect switches before fighting through the first cavern. Journey Onward resumes the saved solo adventure.
