How to Play World Cup 98
Quick start
Choose EXHIBITION to learn passing and shooting before a tournament. A with a direction passes, B shoots and the pad adjusts aim. On defence A changes player, B gives a burst of speed and A+B pushes. Keep an eye on foul settings, then try formation and coverage changes between matches.

D-pad: move; A: offence direction pass; defence change player; B: offence shoot/aim with direction; defence speed burst; A+B: push opponent on defence.

Pick a national team for an exhibition, full tournament, playoffs or a league, then adjust formation, coverage and the starting lineup. Pass into space, aim a shot and switch defenders as possession changes; field conditions affect the ball, while aggressive pushing can bring the referee into the contest if fouls are enabled.
