How to Play Rod Land
Quick start
Select one player, then Rit or Tam. Approach an enemy from the side, press A/B to catch it and keep pressing to slam it until defeated. Create a ladder with Up+A/B to reach flowers, remembering that enemies can climb it too. Making a new ladder removes the old one, so plan your return route.
Controls
Left/Right walks, Up/Down climbs ladders. A or B uses the rod; keep pressing to slam a caught enemy. Hold Up or Down with A/B to create a ladder in that direction. Up enters linked doors. START pauses; SELECT changes the title-screen player option and is unused during play.

Rit and Tam climb a monster-filled tower to rescue their mother, using a magic rod and a ladder they can place themselves. Trap an enemy and slam it back and forth, then turn dropped weapons against the next threat. Collect all flowers to start an EXTRA-letter opportunity and earn another life. With no ordinary jump, choosing where to build a ladder is as important as knowing when to attack. Select one player, then Rit or Tam. Approach an enemy from the side, press A/B to catch it and keep pressing to slam it until defeated. Create a ladder with Up+A/B to reach flowers, remembering that enemies can climb it too. Making a new ladder removes the old one, so plan your return route.
