Xerd no Densetsu takes a prince into a world where an ancient hero and a holy dragon belong to a cycle of returning danger. Travel through towns and castles, face the person you want to question and inspect the places that might hold a route onward. Command battles ask you to preserve resources for more than the next enemy, while important items connect discoveries to the larger journey. The status and key-item screens have separate buttons, giving a quick way to review strength and clues before leaving a familiar area.
