How to Play Dragon Warrior III
Quick start
Create a new quest, name the hero and complete the opening questions and scenario to establish a personality. After your mother wakes you, follow the opening visit to Aliahan’s king. Recruit companions at Luisa’s place before leaving town, equip everyone and fight near Aliahan first. Carry healing supplies and return to rest as needed; make a regular Journal record before relying on the Field Log for a short break.
Controls
D-pad: move and choose commands. A: talk, open doors, examine and confirm choices. B: open the command menu while walking; cancel or return to the previous screen in menus. In battle, choose attacks, spells or items with the cursor and confirm with A. START opens the Field Log for a temporary interruption save outside battle; use an appropriate king or save point for a regular Journal save. SELECT opens the world map in the field once available and can memorize a conversation in towns or castles.
Dragon Warrior III — About this game
A balanced group can cover physical attacks, healing and other magic, while the vocation system leaves room to reshape companions later. Town information points toward new routes, and dangerous journeys reward keeping HP, MP and equipment ready. The handheld edition also includes collectible monster medals, giving repeated encounters another purpose. Its controls use A for contextual actions and B for the command menu, with a separate temporary Field Log save.
This is a revised Simplified Chinese edition. This is the edition with the equipment adjustment.
