How to Play Dragon Warrior Monsters
Quick start
Start a new game and follow the bedroom events until Watabou takes Terry to GreatTree. Meet the king, visit the monster farm and pick up the Slime Slib from Pulio. Return as directed, then enter the Gate of Beginning. Gather items and fight carefully, healing Slib when needed; recruit another monster to strengthen the party before the final encounter. Save in GreatTree through OPTN and JOURNAL.
Controls
D-pad: move Terry and navigate menus. A: talk, examine and confirm; when no interaction is in front of you, open the game menu. B: cancel or close windows. SELECT: view the Mystic World map or sort carried items in the item window. START: switch the HP/MP and level display; in the main game menu, show the joined-monster record. In GreatTree, save through OPTN then JOURNAL.
Dragon Warrior Monsters — About this game
The first adventure starts with Slib, a Slime from the monster farm. A party of up to three monsters can explore together, and meat improves the chance that an eligible wild monster will join after a battle. Different battle plans influence how your companions act, while breeding lets later generations inherit useful potential. Arena progress opens further challenges; return to GreatTree to reorganize, recover and record your journey before entering another gate.
