How to Play Lufia: The Legend Returns
Quick start
Begin a new game and explore Patos, talking to residents and checking containers for supplies. Follow the opening incident at Lamika’s house until Seena joins Wain. Rest at home if needed, then head toward Patos Cave. Follow Ibla’s tutorial to learn dungeon movement and combat, and practise the sword and charged Spirit Wave before continuing toward the Tower of Death.
Controls
D-pad: move and choose commands. A: talk, search, confirm and swing the sword in dungeons; hold and release A to send a Spirit Wave. Hold B to run in towns or dungeons; B cancels selections. START opens the main menu. SELECT opens the map where available; from the map, START accesses the temporary Field Log. Record a regular save at a proper save location as well.

Explore dungeons with visible enemies, using the sword and charged Spirit Wave to interact before entering turn-based battles. Ancient Texts teach special skills when the required Spiritual Force conditions are met, so group layout matters as much as individual levels. New allies widen your options for attacks, magic and recovery. The temporary Field Log lets you interrupt a journey, but it is separate from a regular save. These systems belong to The Legend Returns on GBC.
