How to Play GeGeGe no Kitarou 2: Youkai Gundan no Chousen
Quick start
After starting, go south and check the post, then further south to Kitaro's house as your base. In the early stages, heal around your house after each battle, and expand your search area around level 2. In the field, use the cross button to move and press A to open the menu, but when it comes to important locations, the same A will automatically search, so try it out even in a lone forest or the edge of the terrain. During battle, use the top and bottom buttons to display items for weapons and allies, and choose to run away from strong enemies without forcing yourself. Perform recovery and password confirmation at the houses in each region, and make note of the string correctly before heading to the cave.
Controls
Cross button: Move Kitaro, move the cursor for menus and battle commands. A button: Decide, display menu in field, investigate important points. B button: Cancel, return to previous screen. START: Determined on the title screen. SELECT: Move the cursor on the title screen. During battle, use the up and down arrow buttons to display weapons and allies, and press A to decide your actions.

"GeGeGe no Kitaro 2: Challenge of the Yokai Corps" is a command-based RPG in which Kitaro travels through Japan that has been occupied by Yokai. Travel through nine regions, from Kanto to Tohoku, Kyushu, and the Izu Islands, entering the inside of the ghost barrier through caves and defeating mid-bosses to expand your range of action. In battle, even if multiple enemies appear, you only have to deal with them one at a time.In addition to normal attacks, magic, and weapons, you can also summon companions such as cat girls and sandbags for one turn. There are no towns, shops, or money, so you recover your physical strength and magical power in private houses, and obtain tools from Jizo, treasure chests, and enemies. Important points are hidden on the large map, so the key to success is to press A on a suspicious square, investigate it, and record the information and password you get.
