How to Play Gekido
Quick start
Practise moving into attack range and backing away against the first enemy. Enter a group only after leaving a clear retreat route.
Controls
Use the directional pad to move and position the character. Follow the game’s action-button prompts for attacking and other available moves; watch the character’s condition during combat.
Gekido — About this game
Explore the available content in this preserved prototype. The route is built around immediate movement and strikes rather than waiting for each encounter to open a command menu. Learn the reach of an ordinary attack against one enemy before pushing into a group, and check your condition between clashes. Advance steadily, using open space to line up the next approach and avoiding a position where attacks arrive from both sides.
