Before most stages, spend the stars earned from defeated enemies in the parts shop. A speed upgrade and a useful bomb are the safest first purchases because the starting craft is slow and enemy waves can approach from several heights. During the stage, keep the primary shot and bomb-like auxiliary weapon active while circling around formations, then use the limited special weapon when a dense wave or boss creates a safe opening. Learn each stage’s wraparound route and avoid buying expensive parts that leave you without enough stars for basic speed and coverage.

D-pad: fly in the horizontal scrolling stage and move through the parts shop. B: fire the main shot (Weapon 1). C: drop the bomb-like auxiliary shot (SP Weapon); it can be held together with B for sustained coverage. A: fire one round of the equipped special Weapon 2. Start: begin or pause.
