How to Play Air Buster
Quick start
Choose 1 PLAYER for Buster 1 or 2 PLAYER for Buster 2, then press Start to launch. Keep moving in all eight directions and use the normal shot to thin out enemy formations. Hold A or C to charge the Buster Flash, then release it for a powerful blast; normal fire is unavailable while charging, so begin the charge only when you have room to dodge. Destroy carriers and collect the released battle gear, choosing shot power-ups, bumpers, six-direction fire, or guided weapons to match the threats coming onto the screen.
Controls
D-pad: move the craft in eight directions. B: normal shot. A or C: hold to charge the Buster Flash and release to fire it; you cannot use the normal shot while charging. Start: begin or pause the game. On the title screen, use the D-pad to choose 1 PLAYER, 2 PLAYER, TWIN SET-UP, or OPTION and press Start. After all ships are lost, press Start during the countdown to continue.
