How to Play Asterix and the Great Rescue
Quick start
Select START, advance through the map and story, then choose Asterix or Obelix for the level. Both must cross six timed levels to rescue Getafix and Dogmatix, but each stage ends differently: guide Asterix to the magic potion or Obelix to the wild boar before time expires. Begin with normal punches and jumps, collect potion bottles for special weapons, and save Fireball for distant enemies or breakable walls. Passwords shown after a level let you resume later.
Controls
Use the D-pad to move, Down to crouch, and Down plus Left or Right to crawl. A jumps and B punches. Hold Up and press C to cycle through available special weapons, then press C to use the displayed one; weapons include Fireball, Cloud, Disguise, and Balloon. Start advances non-action screens, confirms menus, and pauses. The A, B, and C assignments can be changed in Options, so check the selected control type before relying on the default layout.
