How to Play Atomic Robo-Kid
Quick start
Open Options and choose a comfortable difficulty; Easy grants seven Robo-Kids and six continues, while Hard gives only three and two. In a stage, keep moving freely, fire ahead, and watch for Crystal Flies. Shoot one to release a crystal, then shoot the crystal again until it changes into the item or weapon you want before collecting it. Pick up the early unmarked red crystals to start the atomic engines, and switch weapons when the enemy formation or short-range boss chamber demands a different attack pattern.
Controls
Use the D-pad for free movement in the scrolling stages and governor chambers. A fires the currently equipped weapon; continue holding a direction while firing to maintain movement. B cycles or selects the weapon shown in the weapon inventory. C is unused. Start pauses. In shop screens, move through the choices and use A to buy the highlighted upgrade. During confined battle-mode encounters, movement is limited to the left side, so concentrate on dodging vertically while firing.
