How to Play Atomic Runner
Quick start
Choose Options before starting and set an easier difficulty, five lives, and Rapid Shoot On while learning. The Atomic Runner moves relentlessly to the right, so read platforms and enemy fire early rather than reacting after an obstacle reaches you. Shoot item-carrying aliens and burning torches for upgrades to range, bullet speed, power, jump height, and rapid fire; each can rise three levels, while a flashing item improves several attributes. Pick up new-weapon items when their attack pattern fits the next section.
Controls
Controls are configurable in Options. In Type 3-1, Right speeds up, Left stops, A faces left and shoots, C faces right and shoots, and B jumps. Type 1-1 uses A to jump, B to shoot, and C plus Left or Right to turn. Type 2-1 uses A to shoot, B to jump, and C to reverse facing. Rapid Shoot repeats fire while held, and Rapid Jump repeats jumps while held. Start pauses during play.
