How to Play Best of the Best Championship Karate

Quick start

Before entering Match, open Select Hits and build a set of 13 techniques from the available 55: preview each move, assign it to a D-pad direction plus A, and remember the layout you create. Use Training between bouts—Sparring improves resistance, the Bag builds strength, and Kick Pads improve reflexes—then select Next Boxer and accept an opponent near your fighter’s level. In the ring, advance or retreat with Left/Right and execute your programmed techniques with a direction plus A; reserve Up + B Smart Hits for decisive moments because only three are available per round.

Controls

D-pad: navigate menus, advance or retreat in a match, and select the direction for a programmed strike. Direction + A: execute the technique assigned in Select Hits. Up + B: use one of three Smart Hits available per round. Start: pause/resume, cycle option choices, or leave a menu, fight, or training sequence. In Select Hits, A confirms a move and position, B assigns it, and C previews it. Bag training uses repeated C; Kick Pad training uses Up/Right/Down for high/middle/low kicks.
