How to Play Blades of Vengeance
Quick start
Choose the Huntress for ranged attacks, the Barbarian for durable close combat, or the Wizard for magic, then enter the first of eight stages. Search side rooms and smash or open containers for treasure and power-ups before spending gold at shops. Use Down to crouch defensively when an enemy attacks, answer with Down+B from the low stance, and use C+B for a jumping strike. Pause to browse the inventory; while paused, press a direction with C to scout the surrounding area before committing to a dangerous jump or doorway.
Controls
D-pad: move, climb, enter doors, and crouch with Down. A: use the currently selected inventory item. B: attack; Up+B performs the armoured special/overhead attack, and Down+B attacks from a crouch. C: jump; C+B performs a jumping attack or higher jump. Start: pause and open the inventory. While paused, use the D-pad to change items, or hold a direction and press C to preview the nearby area.
