How to Play Clue

Quick start

Start at Amateur rank so the clues are direct, then choose a suspect and mark every card in your hand on the Detective Notepad. On each turn, hold A to roll, move exactly that many spaces and enter rooms whenever possible. Make a Suggestion to test a suspect, weapon and room, and cross off anything another player can disprove. Save your single Accusation until the remaining suspect, weapon and room are certain, because a wrong accusation removes you from contention.

Controls

The D-pad moves the cursor through menus and moves your token around the mansion. A selects an option, confirms entries and rolls the die when held then released. B backs out or restarts a Suggestion, Interrogation or Accusation after a mistaken choice. Hold C and use the D-pad to scroll across the full board. Start begins play, pauses where available and can end a move when another token blocks the remaining path. The on-screen Detective Notepad records deductions.
