Choose an exhibition game, leave Hot Spots off at first and learn the fast two-on-two rhythm. A shoots on offense and blocks on defense, C passes or attempts a steal, and B spends Turbo for a speed boost. Pass before the defense traps the ball carrier, then release A at the top of the jump for better shooting accuracy. Save some Turbo for defense and late possessions; holding B and tapping the D-pad four times charges through an opponent but drains the meter quickly. Add Hot Spots and power-up icons after the basic timing is comfortable.

The D-pad moves the active player. A shoots on offense and jumps to block a shot on defense. C passes on offense and attempts a steal on defense. Hold B for Turbo, which accelerates the player and strengthens some actions while the limited meter lasts. To charge, hold B and tap the desired D-pad direction four times. Start pauses or resumes; from pause, A calls a timeout, and B+C quits to the title screen. The Options menu can remap buttons, and Hot Spots or power-up icons can alter scoring and abilities.
