Select the first battlefront and begin in the Black Eagle helicopter. Use A for the normal gun, B for bombs and C for turbo fire; move constantly while learning each enemy pattern. A mission can shift to a ground infiltration, where the D-pad moves Billy, A fires and B jumps. Destroy the defense network, find and rescue the hostage, then return to the helicopter. Completing a round awards money: buy a stronger weapon or armor, but keep enough funds for the equipment that matches the next air or ground section.

The D-pad moves the helicopter and navigates selections. A fires bullets, lasers or the equipped machine gun. B drops bombs in air combat and jumps during ground missions. C activates turbo fire and the CALL function. Start begins and pauses. The A, B and C assignments can be changed in Options. Between rounds, use the D-pad to select a weapon or armor purchase, A to confirm and B to return. Air sections focus on shooting aircraft and bases; ground sections use the same core buttons to fight soldiers and rescue hostages.
