How to Play Desert Strike: Wangan Sakusen
Quick start
Read the mission map and objectives before take-off, then choose a pilot/copilot combination with strong armour repair and winch skills. Complete targets in the listed order because later sites may depend on rescued agents or destroyed radar. Fly in short passes, use the chain gun on troops and light vehicles, Hydras on groups, and Hellfires on hardened targets. Watch fuel, armour, and ammunition constantly; return to the frigate or collect marked supplies before a gauge becomes critical, and use the winch carefully when rescuing personnel.
Controls
D-pad: fly the helicopter relative to its nose. A: fire chain gun. B: fire Hydra rockets. C: fire Hellfire missiles. Start: open the tactical map/status screen and pause. On the map, move the cursor to review objectives, fuel, armour, ammunition, and targets. Hover precisely over personnel or cargo to operate the winch, then return rescued units to the required base or frigate.
