How to Play Disney's Aladdin

Quick start

Use this July 31 prototype to compare a late development build with the finished Genesis game. Move carefully through each available stage, test sword and apple interactions, and search for routes or objects that may have changed before release. The familiar retail strategy still applies—save apples for distant targets, use the sword at close range and press jump early to catch ropes—but prototype layouts, balance, checkpoints or completion triggers may be unfinished, so a blocked route can be a build limitation rather than a puzzle.

Controls

Use Left/Right to move, Up/Down to climb ropes or look, and Down to duck. A throws an apple, B swings the sword, and C jumps or grabs ropes, poles and handholds. Up+B performs a rapid alternating sword slash. Start begins, pauses and resumes. The Options menu can remap A, B and C, so these are the default controls. Health is shown by smoke in the lamp; apples are limited ammunition, while gems can be spent at the travelling merchant. This prerelease build may contain unfinished level logic or altered behavior even where the basic movement and combat resemble the final game.
