How to Play Donald in Maui Mallard
Quick start
Use Maui’s bug gun to clear enemies from a distance and collect different ammunition types instead of spending the strongest bugs immediately. Search each stage for Yin-Yang coins; once enough energy is available, transform into Cold Shadow for close combat and routes that require ninja movement. As Cold Shadow, chain staff attacks, jump to higher ledges, and return to Maui when ranged fire is safer. Explore branches for health and extra lives before entering boss rooms.
Controls
D-pad: move, crouch, look, climb, and aim. A: fire Maui’s bug gun or attack with Cold Shadow’s staff. B: jump. C: transform between Maui Mallard and Cold Shadow when the Yin-Yang meter permits; in some contexts it also selects ammunition or a ninja action. Start: pause and view status. Collected bug types change the gun’s projectile, and transformation consumes or requires Yin-Yang energy.
