How to Play Earthworm Jim
Quick start
Use Jim’s blaster for distant enemies and conserve ammunition by whipping close targets with his worm body. Jump before pits, use the whip on hooks to swing, and search for plasma refills, health and extra lives. On vehicle stages, make small steering corrections instead of holding a direction. Bosses usually expose a weak point after a repeated pattern, so dodge first and fire during the opening.
Controls
D-pad: move, crouch, aim, and steer vehicles. A: fire the blaster. B: jump. C: whip with Jim’s worm body, grab hooks, or use a context action. Start: pause. Hold directions while firing to aim; jump and whip near a hook to swing. Ammunition and health appear on the status display.
