How to Play ESPN Baseball Tonight
Quick start
Start with an exhibition and use the default assistance. On offence, wait for a hittable pitch, use a normal swing before trying power, and advance runners only when the ball clears the infield. On defence, vary pitch speed and location, move the nearest fielder toward the landing marker, then choose the base before throwing. Keep a relief pitcher ready once stamina or control drops.
Controls
D-pad: move batter, pitcher, fielder, and select a base. A: swing or throw to the selected base. B: bunt, advance/return runners, or change view. C: pitch, select pitch type, field, or confirm. Start: pause and open substitutions. Context determines batting, pitching, fielding, and baserunning actions.
