Open Training before the Tournament and choose one champion. Learn the three attack strengths, hold Away to block, and practise that fighter's special commands until they work from both sides. Build Inner Strength through clean attacks, then spend it on a powerful technique when the opponent is committed. In the main contest, conserve continues and use the Overkill finish only after winning the round.

D-pad: move, jump, crouch, and block by holding Away. A/B/C: weak, medium, and strong attacks under the default three-button layout; Start switches punch/kick functions where required. Directional sequences plus an attack perform special moves. Close inputs throw, and Inner Strength powers advanced techniques. Start pauses outside active button switching.
