How to Play Fatal Fury 2
Quick start
Pick a fighter, enter Practice through an easy CPU bout and learn the two-plane system before memorising long combos. Use weak attacks to check distance, save strong attacks for a confirmed opening and switch planes to avoid a projectile or reset spacing. A quick back dash gives a brief defensive escape. Each character has directional special moves, throws and a desperation move available at low life, so keep the manual’s move list nearby and master one reliable anti-air and one punish before advancing through the tournament.
Controls
On a three-button pad, A is weak punch and B weak kick; combine C+A for strong punch and C+B for strong kick. A+B changes fighting planes, while holding C with A+B makes a line attack that knocks the opponent across planes; tap C to taunt. On a six-button pad, X/Y are weak/strong punch, A/B weak/strong kick, Z changes plane, C performs the line attack and Mode taunts when enabled. The D-pad moves, crouches, jumps and enters special-move motions; Start pauses.
