The D-pad moves Trykaar one square and attacks a monster by moving into its square; enemies act when you act, so standing still is a tactical choice. A picks up or readies an item while standing over it. C opens the inventory and confirms a highlighted command or item; B cancels and leaves the inventory. Use the inventory’s Equip and Use commands for weapons, armour, bows, canes, scrolls, rings and potions. Start begins and pauses the game. The two Japanese digital releases use the same turn-based rules and menu actions.
