How to Play Fever Pitch Soccer
Quick start
Start with an Exhibition match and a three-button pad, then identify the star player in your side because only star players can perform the special move. Pass quickly rather than dribbling through crowds, use the lob or back-heel combinations to change angle, and expect a faster, rougher match than a simulation. In World Tournament mode, victories let you improve the squad, so develop useful players between fixtures. Repeated fouls can still earn cards even though the game allows forceful tackling.
Controls
On a three-button pad, A passes or takes a short restart, B shoots, heads an airborne ball or takes a long goal kick, and C performs a star player’s special move. A+B makes a back-heel and B+C crosses. When defending, A performs a sliding tackle; move the D-pad to guide the active player or goalkeeper. On a six-button pad, X shoots, A passes, Y heads, B uses the special move, Z back-heels and C crosses. Start pauses and confirms menu choices; hold A+B+C and press Up while paused to abandon the match.
