Before deploying, open Weapon Config and build a balanced loadout: a reliable right-hand gun, a back-mounted weapon for groups and reserves for when ammunition runs low. Advance slowly enough to reveal turrets and walkers without drawing the whole screen, then strafe while firing to keep armour facing the threat. Double-tap a direction to dash through exposed ground, and use contact punches only when an enemy closes inside gun range. Destroy the stage target, then reconfigure weapons for the next mission instead of keeping an empty slot equipped.

The D-pad moves the NAP armour in eight directions; hold a fire function while moving to strafe, double-tap a direction to dash, and bump a nearby enemy to punch. The three face buttons are assigned by function in CONFIG: Hand fires the right-hand weapon, Option fires the back weapon and Select opens Weapon Config. Because assignments can be remapped, check the current labels rather than assuming fixed A/B/C positions. In Weapon Config, Hand equips the highlighted item to the right hand, Option to the back, and Select moves it to reserve or the left hand. Start pauses.
