Treat the opening jungle as movement training. Walk to the edge before dropping, hang and climb down instead of taking blind falls, and practise a running jump on safe ground. Pick up the holocube and other objects, inspect the inventory and use each item at the matching terminal or character. Draw the pistol before entering a dangerous screen, crouch or roll under fire and raise the rechargeable shield whenever possible. Record each level password, because the game expects careful repeated attempts rather than rushing through its cinematic platforms.

The D-pad walks, crouches, climbs and aims. Hold A with Left or Right to run; combine A with Up to jump, with a run for a long jump, or with Down at an edge to hang and climb safely. B is the action button: it fires while the pistol is drawn and otherwise picks up, uses or drops the selected object. C draws or holsters the gun. With the weapon ready, Left/Right steps, Down crouches and a second Left/Right input rolls. Start opens the inventory and pauses; select an item there before using B near its target.
