How to Play Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball
Quick start
Learn in an Exhibition game before committing to a season. At the plate, use C for a level swing, Up+C for contact and Down+C to bunt; release C early to check a bad swing. On the bases, send only one runner at a time with A plus the direction of the next base, and use B plus a direction to retreat. When pitching in Simulation mode, work through location, pitch type, height and speed instead of rushing the sequence, then mix zones so the batter cannot sit on one pitch.
Controls
The D-pad navigates menus and directs runners and fielders. Bat with C; Up+C gives a contact swing, Down+C bunts, and Down+B cancels the bunt. Hold A plus the D-pad toward a base to advance or steal, and B plus the D-pad toward the previous base to return. In Simulation pitching, choose plate zone, pitch type, height and speed, then press A to deliver. In the field, A dives toward the ball, B switches to the nearest fielder and C jumps.
