How to Play Frogger
Quick start
Start by treating each hop as a separate decision. Cross the road through gaps between cars, then use logs and diving turtles as moving platforms across the river; Frogger cannot swim. Aim for one of the five open home bays at the top, but avoid crocodile heads, snakes and occupied bays. Watch the timer and plan two or three hops ahead instead of racing blindly. Complete all five homes to clear the round, and learn the faster traffic pattern before committing the next frog.
Controls
Use the D-pad to hop one space up, down, left or right; diagonal movement is not available. Start begins and pauses the game. Frogger moves only when a direction is pressed, so short, deliberate taps are safer than holding a direction. In two-player mode the players alternate frogs rather than moving at the same time. The same directional control applies while riding a log or turtle, but stepping beyond the platform sends Frogger into the water.
