Choose one of the four Yang-family warriors and learn the basic rhythm before spending health on specials. Walk enemies into a tight group, use B for regular strings, then jump with C and attack for a strong jump kick. Close contact can start a throw, but it deals less damage than a clean combo. Press A only when surrounded or facing a dangerous boss pattern because the special attack drains your own life. Food restores health, and a second player can join for co-op, though friendly fire means both players should attack from separate sides.

The D-pad moves the warrior in the belt-scrolling arena. A performs the special attack and consumes some health, B uses the normal attack and picks up items, and C jumps; jumping then attacking gives a powerful aerial strike. Walk directly into an enemy to initiate close contact or a throw. Start begins or pauses and allows the second player to join. The game supports two-player co-op, includes four fighters and six stages, and friendly fire is active.
