How to Play Joe Montana Football

Quick start

Begin with a single game or 2-Minute Drill and use Joe's Play when unsure. Read the defence before snapping, use short passes until receiver routes are familiar and steer the receiver as the ball travels. On defence, choose a nearby player, stay in position and raise his arms to contest passes. Practise kicks before the SEGA Bowl.

Controls

D-pad: choose plays and move. A: snap and select/pass to a receiver according to the play. B: switch to the nearest defender and raise arms to block or intercept; also context actions. C: change selected player or receiver and current kick/action. Start: pause. Roles change before and after the snap.
