How to Play Warsong

Quick start

Before each scenario, hire troops that complement your commander and check the enemy composition. Keep soldiers inside their commander's influence, use terrain for defence and exploit the infantry, cavalry and spearman match-ups instead of attacking head-on. Protect commanders, heal weakened units and move as a group; losing a commander can remove the troops attached to them. Save strong magic for crowded targets or critical turns.

Controls

D-pad: move the map cursor and choose commands or targets. A: confirm, select a unit and open its command list. B: cancel or return. C: inspect unit, terrain or status information where available. Start: open the system menu or pause. Commands include move, attack, magic, rest and end turn according to the selected commander.
