How to Play Madden NFL 98
Quick start
Begin with an Exhibition and use a balanced playbook while learning the final 16-bit Madden entry. Read the defensive alignment before snapping, mix runs with short throws, and use touch passing to place the ball over or in front of coverage. On defence, maintain pursuit angles and switch only when the ball carrier is identified.
Controls
D-pad: choose formations and move the active player. A/B/C select displayed plays and the matching receiver; the length of the press controls pass speed in the touch-passing system. Contextual face-button actions handle ball-carrier moves, catches, player switching, and tackles. Start: pause or open game options. Exact Genesis button roles may vary by situation.
