How to Play Mario Lemieux Hockey
Quick start
Choose Exhibition, Tournament, or Shoot-Out, set the skill and rule options, then take the ice. Keep defenders between the puck and your goal, pass before opponents close in, and aim shots with the D-pad. Change lines before stamina becomes a problem and use checking carefully when strict penalties are enabled.
Controls
D-pad: skate and aim passes or shots. A: check on defence; shoot low with one press or high with two presses on offence. B: pass, request a pass in manual control, or play the puck at a face-off. C: switch the controlled skater. A+B: change the forward line. B+C: change the defensive line. Start: pause and show statistics.
