How to Play Mercs
Quick start
Begin in Arcade mode to learn the seven timed missions, or choose Original mode for a longer campaign with recruitable Mercs and a shop. Keep moving diagonally while firing, collect weapon and speed upgrades, and enter vehicles for extra armour and firepower. Save Mega Crash bombs for dense enemy fire or bosses. In Original mode, gather medals and switch Mercs to preserve weakened specialists.
Controls
D-pad: move in eight directions and choose menus. A or C: fire the current weapon. B: use a Mega Crash bomb. Start: pause; in Original mode it also opens the Merc selection screen. Options can move Mega Crash to a different A/B/C button and enable rapid fire.
